Monster Me

The paper and the body enter into a kind of duet: me and another me. The paper cancels out the individual as their body animates the material. The sound of the paper resonates in the space as the performer moves and draws. The action is repeated, sheet by sheet. Each time a drawing is finished, it is hung in the space. At the end of the performance, the drawings are left displayed in the space, topographical maps of the body, strange calligraphy, masks of the same subject repeated over and over, in unpredictable mutations.

Il disegno e il corpo entrano in relazione come un io con un altro io. La carta cancella l’individuo e il corpo anima il materiale. Il rumore della carta risuona mentre la performer manipola e disegna su di essa. L’azione viene ripetuta per più volte, foglio dopo foglio. Ogni disegno, una volta finito, viene appeso alle pareti dello spazio. Al termine della performance i disegni rimangono esposti, mappe topografiche del corpo, strane calligrafie,  maschere dello stesso soggetto replicato in mutazioni imprevedibili.
